Account and data deletion

Powalia — Last updated: 1 August 2026 · Version 1.0

Delete your account from the app (main route)

The main and immediate route is in the app: Profile → Privacy and my data → Delete my account, then confirmation at the two steps requested. No email request is needed for a standard user.

Deletion is immediate and permanent: there is no 30-day grace period, the session is closed, previous authentication tokens become invalid straight away, the same credentials no longer allow you to sign in, and your Powas are permanently lost. Deletion cannot be undone.

What is deleted

Deleted items include: the account and profile, the tracking data stored in the database, body and well-being measurements and information, meals and related data, the preferences and relationships attached to the account, the body photos stored in private object storage, and the images you posted in the Circle. The local cache on the device is purged during deletion. Deletion in the database comes with a purge of the files; if a file deletion genuinely fails, the account is not deleted and you can try again.

We do not claim that every technical backup copy disappears instantly: technical database backups are kept for a maximum of 7 days and then overwritten.

No longer able to access your account?

If you can no longer sign in, you can start your request by email. This route is open to all users.

Therapist and administrator accounts

A therapist account cannot be deleted immediately on your own (professional and contractual relationships): send a request to contact@powalia.com stating the account email address, without any password. An administrator account cannot delete itself: deletion is carried out by another authorised administrator.

Data that may have to be kept

Some information may have to be kept separately where the law requires it: in particular accounting records and transaction receipts (10 years), or in the event of a dispute, a request from the authorities or the defence of legal rights. Such retention is limited to what is necessary and framed by the applicable rules.

Exercising your rights

Your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, portability) are set out on “Your rights and personal data”. You can export your data from the app (Profile → Privacy and my data → Export my data); requests can also be sent to contact@powalia.com.
